Texas Kyokushin Karate is not a commercial dojo and does not operate as a large group training program.
For more than four decades, Kyokushin Karate has been a major part of my life. Today, my focus is on serious instruction, personal development, and sharing what I have learned with a small number of dedicated individuals.
Instruction is limited, personal, and hands-on. Because of that, I work with only a small number of people at a time. Training is intended for individuals who are serious about long-term development in Kyokushin Karate and able to train consistently in person.
Kyokushin is demanding. Progress requires patience, discipline, consistency, and a willingness to embrace difficult training over time. This is not a casual recreational program or a “belt factory.” The goal is not simply promotion in rank, but meaningful growth through years of practice.
Too often, people choose a dojo based primarily on convenience, location, or cost, without giving enough thought to the instructor, training environment, or long-term direction. Choosing a teacher should be approached carefully and with serious thought.
If you are interested in training, begin by sending an email introducing yourself, your background, and your goals. After reviewing your message, I may schedule an interview so we can determine whether the training environment and expectations are the right fit.
Not everyone who inquires will be accepted for training, and at times instruction may be limited based on scheduling and availability.
